Follow the instructions on your package of Sausage to cook the meat. Lamb is generally cooked for 20 minutes in an oven heated at 350 ° F. Cut the cooked sausages into thin slices. Cover and leave aside.
- 2
Increase the temperature in the oven to 425 ° F after the sausages are done, in order to bake the pizza base.
- 3
Beat the egg lightly.
- 4
To make the pizza base, put all the ingredients, except the water into a mixing bowl. Start mixing the ingredients together with clean hands and add a little water at a time to create a ball of dough. The dough shouldn't be too sticky to the touch so use water sparingly. The mixture also tends to absorb a lot of moisture quickly so if you think you've added too much water wait a few seconds and continue kneading. The excess moisture should vanish. If it's still too sticky add a little tapioca starch until its just right.
- 5
Tear a sheet of parchment paper, big enough to accommodate a 7 inch pizza and lay it out on a flat surface.
- 6
Place the ball of dough on the parchment paper in the centre and roll out using a rolling pin. Try to make it as thin as you can. 7 inches in diameter should be fine. It's also helpful to place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the dough after you've rolled it out halfway. You can continue rolling over the parchment paper so that the rolling pin doesn't come directly in contact with the dough and you're left with a nice even surface.
- 7
Once the base is rolled out, remove the parchment paper that's on top.
- 8
Leaving the bottom parchment paper intact, transfer the pizza base to a baking tray and bake until the edges look nice and brown. This should take around 10 minutes.
- 9
Remove the base from the oven once it's cooked and smear the sauce all over. Add your toppings along with the cheese and put the pizza back into the oven for 3 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
