    Preheat the broiler on your oven.

    Cut the middles from the tomatoes, then chop the rest in small pieces.

    Add tomatoes in a bowl with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and basil. Mix well.

    Cut bread in 1/2 inch pieces and lay evenly on a foiled cooking pan.

    Broil each side of the bread for 2 minutes. Each side should be crisp but not brown.

    Using a clove of garlic rub the tops of each piece of bread for 5-6 seconds.

    Scoop tomato pieces out of bowl and place on bread.

    Broil for 30 more seconds to warm tomatoes (optional)

Cut 12 pieces from 6 inches of bread. Try to be as even as possible.

Place the bread on a pan. Make sure to space evenly. Broil each side for 2 minutes.

Remove the middles and any seeds then chop the tomatoes into small pieces.

Mix tomatoes in oil and vinegar with basil. Mix well for about 30 seconds then let sit.

Using a clove of garlic rub the tops of each piece of bread for about 5 seconds. Try to rub as evenly as possible. If you want a more garlic flavor rub for more time.
